This event marks a new chapter in my deciding to try and organize things. Pairing up with partner in crime: Kelsey Cvach, we put on what could be Arizona's favorite ultimate tournament. Eight teams participated from Flagstaff and beyond. Out of town teams included Moon Crew from Tucson, Rubics Cube from Phoenix, Arizona State University, University of New Mexico, and the Hucky Brewsters from Phoenix. Flagstaff brought team Purple, The Lost Boys, and Caveman Olympics. High levels of ultimate plagued the South Fields of NAU's campus. Rubics Cube took home the trophy and prize of a half-priced bid for Ultifest 2013. There are reports of a very large forest party associated with the event. Apparently a massive bonfire, raging generator powered dance party complete with professional DJs, and camping were combined with the awesome crowds that make up the ultimate community on Saturday night.

Things went flawlessly on the organizational front excluding a minor lapse in food supply Saturday afternoon. The good reports have been rolling in.

"One of the best tournaments I've been to. Can somebody carry me to work? I don't want to move my body, ever." -Ariel Anderson

"That was one of the funnest tournaments I've been to. Thank you Kels and flagstaff." -Roman Jefferson

We had a little party this weekend. Some of our amazing friends (thirteen of them) from Santa Barbara crashed our floor. The infamous Rainbow Girls were a part of this troupe. Music, dancing, love, awesome food, Oak creek, Sedona, and the Farmer's Market got involved. It was an amazingly reviving weekend. Here are pictures!

BUY THEIR MUSIC. This is the new, and really awesome, CD.

This year I returned East to Santa Fe to run really hard, and roller skate even harder. We brought back Zoomagedon. We won some big games and lost some like usual. There were some underwear points for good measure.

Last weekend we cruised over yonder to Durango for the 18th annual Durango Hat tournament. We took things to the next level and cruised east in the VW vanagon. Van life involved some insane simultaneous sunset and full moon action over the Colorado plateau on the drive up, and some funky dance parties upon arrival. The tournament was all smiles and silliness. The ultimate was considerably high level. Team Black Hole Deep Space was obviously the best team of fun loving folks from around the country. We won a bunch and then lost a few.

The drive home was comparatively on the mellow side with naps and massages galore. I think these here are some of the better pictures I ever did develop.
