To be honest, I haven't had the change to emotional digest the events of this week. The roof is dripping now. Spring has returned.

I've been asked how I regard the winter past. My response varies from "hell yeah! it was awesome" to "well it physically destroyed me, I skied a lot of powder, and it was one big blur of exhaustion." This week was a flashback intensified. I prefer this insanity, but it is easy to glorify the white room and underrate the black one.

Keeping up with a storm cycle of this intensity took me to an odd place where floating through it's depths was less appealing than surviving the journey to the warm shack to dry my undershirt.

I have more images from this winter that never got posted than normal. I forgot about the internets.

"As long as I live, I'll hear waterfalls and birds and winds sing. I'll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche. I'll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can." _John Muir
